Where Our Story Began
My grandmother used to say that whenever I found an animal that needed help, I would somehow find a way to bring it home.
She wasn’t wrong.
I grew up in Italy, spending much of my childhood with my grandparents in the countryside, where animals were simply part of everyday life. Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, chickens, and all sorts of little creatures were always around us.
Whether it was a stray kitten, a bird that had fallen from its nest, an abandoned puppy, or even a little mole I found in the fields, I couldn’t simply walk away. I would bring them home, care for them, and whenever I couldn’t keep them, try to find them a safe and loving home. Looking back, I realize that instinct never really left me.
Long before Bostie Bubbles had a name, animals had already become part of who I was.
And that is where our story really begins.
The Family Grows
In 1993, I fell in love with Rottweilers thanks to a dear friend and his two extraordinary dogs. It was through them that I discovered the breed’s intelligence, loyalty, strength, and surprisingly gentle nature. That’s how Camilla, my first Rottweiler, came into my life. Strong and protective, yet incredibly loving, Camilla became my faithful companion, sharing so many important chapters of my life.
Years later, I surprised my husband with Maciste, a little Dachshund, fulfilling a dream he’d had since childhood. Camilla welcomed him with an almost maternal tenderness, and Maciste quickly became an inseparable part of our family. He may have been small, but his personality certainly wasn’t! Soon after, Nicole, another Dachshund, joined us, bringing her own personality and charm into our home.
Our family grew again when I became the mother of a beautiful baby boy, my little “human puppy”. With three dogs and a little boy growing up among them, our home was rarely quiet, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. It was a happy home filled with different personalities, wagging tails, everyday chaos, laughter, and, most of all, love. Our son grew up surrounded by that same love and respect for animals that had been part of my own childhood.
After sixteen and a half wonderful years together, we had to say goodbye to Camilla. Her absence left an enormous void in our home and in our hearts.
A New Chapter
In time, Mirtilla, another wonderful Rottweiler, found her way into our lives, bringing new joy and finding her own special place in our family. In 2013, my husband, our son, and I left Milan to begin a new chapter in the United States. Maciste and Mirtilla made that journey with us. Of course they did, wherever our family was going, they were coming too.
New country. New home. New life. Same family.
In 2018, after sixteen wonderful years together, we said goodbye to Maciste.
Around that time, my son and I traveled to Texas to bring home a tiny Boston Terrier.
His name was Bubbles.
With his bright, intelligent eyes, mischievous little face, and the sweetest nature, he stole our hearts almost instantly. Back home, Mirtilla welcomed him with the same gentle, protective tenderness Camilla had once shown little Maciste. Watching them together brought back so many beautiful memories. It was as though a little piece of our family’s story was repeating itself, years later, with two very different dogs.
No dog ever replaces another.
Each one finds a special place in our family that belongs only to them.
Bubbles found his. In time, we also had to say goodbye to our beloved Mirtilla. She left behind beautiful memories and another irreplaceable place in our hearts. Today, Bubbles is the only dog in our home. He’s my constant companion, sharing our everyday life, adventures, and travels and occasionally reminding us that socks are apparently meant to be stolen! Through all these years, sharing my life with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities has taught me that caring for them is about much more than any single choice.
It’s about understanding their individual needs, paying attention to the little things, and making thoughtful decisions every day.
Because when dogs are family, caring for their well-being is simply another way of loving them.
The Question That Started It All
Cooking has always been one of my passions.
Growing up in Italy shaped the way I think about food, ingredients, and quality. I’ve always believed in choosing thoughtfully, appreciating good ingredients, and paying attention to the little details.
It’s simply a way of living.
Naturally, that same philosophy extends to the dogs who share our lives. Over time, I began dreaming of creating something special inspired by that love. Something that reflected the values that had always mattered to me: care, quality, and making thoughtful choices for the dogs we love. And one simple question kept coming back to me:
Would i choose this for bubbles?
That question became the guiding principle behind everything I wanted to create.
That’s how Bostie Bubbles came to life: a premium dog wellness brand I created, inspired by a lifetime of loving dogs as family.
Family-owned and guided by a very personal vision, Bostie Bubbles brings together thoughtful care, quality, and attention to detail.
Our commitment is simple: to approach everything we create with the same care and consideration we bring to our own family.
The brand may carry Bubbles’ name, but the values behind it began many years before he was born: with a little girl in the Italian countryside who couldn’t walk past an animal that needed help.
In many ways, Bubbles simply gave those values a name.
